Description
The Rubik 220V AC Low Intensity Type B LED Aviation Obstruction Light is a red aircraft warning light designed for marking fixed obstacles and structures that require low intensity aviation obstruction lighting.
The light uses a red LED source with an effective light intensity of ≥32.5 cd. The optical system provides 360° horizontal light distribution and a vertical beam angle of ≥10°.
The unit supports both steady burning or flashing operation. Flashing configurations can be supplied at 30 FPM by default. The product references the ICAO Low Intensity Obstacle Lighting Standard and FAA L-810.
The light is designed for outdoor installation with an aluminium alloy body, polycarbonate light cover, IP65 protection and a specified operating temperature range from -40°C to +55°C.

Optical System
The light uses an LED source together with a Fresnel optical lens system. The optical arrangement is designed to control the emitted beam while providing circumferential visibility around the installed obstruction.
The polycarbonate light cover provides impact resistance and thermal stability. The datasheet also specifies an anti-bird-point design as part of the lamp cover construction.
Housing and Construction
The main body is manufactured from aluminium alloy, providing a lightweight mounting structure with corrosion resistance suitable for outdoor installations.
The light cover is manufactured from polycarbonate (PC). The enclosure has an IP65 ingress protection rating and is specified for operation in temperatures from -40°C to +55°C and humidity levels up to 95% RH without condensation.

Light Control
The technical specification lists a 50–500 Lux light control threshold. This allows the obstruction lighting system to be configured for light-controlled operation according to the selected product configuration.
Fault Alarm Output
The design includes a lamp fault alarm function. In the event of a lamp malfunction, a dry contact signal can be provided for connection to an external monitoring or alarm system.
Installation
The obstruction light is designed for installation using a G3/4 inch threaded pipe connection. The mounting surface or supporting bracket should provide sufficient mechanical strength for secure installation.
Before connecting the light, verify that the available power supply matches the specified 220V AC operating voltage of this unit.
The product also incorporates an anti-fall protection arrangement for installation and wiring.
Typical Applications
The Rubik Low Intensity Type B Aviation Obstruction Light is intended for aircraft warning and obstacle marking installations where low intensity red obstruction lighting is required by the applicable project specification or aviation authority.
