The obstruction light uses a high intensity LED optical system inside a UV protected polycarbonate enclosure. The optical system provides 360° horizontal output with a specified 3° vertical divergence.
The base is manufactured from powder coated die cast aluminium. The enclosure is rated IP66 and is specified for outdoor operation from -40°C to +55°C, relative humidity from 10% to 95% RH without condensation, and wind speeds up to 240 km/h.
The RB-MIA3(L) includes GPS synchronization for coordinated flashing between multiple compatible obstruction lights. This allows separate installed units to maintain synchronized flash timing without a direct synchronization cable between each light.
Automatic Day and Night Operation
The built in photocell automatically controls the operating intensity according to ambient light conditions.

Typical Applications
The Rubik RB-MIA3(L) is intended for fixed obstacle marking applications where a white flashing medium intensity obstruction light is specified by the applicable aviation authority or approved obstruction lighting design.
- High rise buildings
- High chimneys
- Telecommunication towers
- GSM towers
- Microwave towers
- TV towers
- High poles and masts
- Tower cranes
- Wind turbines
- Industrial structures
- Other elevated fixed obstacles
The required number of obstruction lights, mounting height, spacing, intermediate lighting levels and complete obstruction lighting arrangement should be determined according to the applicable aviation authority requirements and the approved obstacle lighting design for the structure.
Note: Mounting brackets, mounting structures and project specific accessories are not included unless specifically stated in the quotation or order.
